The Body Counter Soundtrack by Anne Frasier

One of my writing challenges is making that transition from the world around me to the  dark
and sinister scene I’m writing. Sometimes I attempt to trance it, but lately I’ve been experimenting
with music. Music is normally a distraction for me, but I’ve found dark and ominous melodies
(no lyrics!) can be helpful. Individual songs don’t last long enough for the writing of an entire
scene, so I’ve put together a Spotify playlist. Feel free to follow it/me and try it out for yourself.
I’ll continue to update the list as songs present themselves.

Another long-playing list I recommend is Drone not Drones, launched in 2015. They now offer
four years of albums from the yearly 28-hour Minneapolis drone event — with all proceeds going
to Doctors Without Borders.
